Aerospace lifts Raytheon 2021 outlook

Raytheon Technologies increased its sales outlook for 2021 by as much as 2pc as higher vaccination rates help commercial air traffic demand gain traction in the domestic market. The aerospace manufacturer expects sales to fall between $64.4-65.4bn in 2021, up from a previous outlook of $63.9-65.4bn, citing recent trends in the company's end markets, mainly commercial air traffic. Revenue rose to $15.9bn in the quarter from $14.1bn the prior year and net income rose to $1bn from a loss of $3.8bn posted in the second quarter of 2020.
