APM Terminals (APM T), which was spun out of Maersk Line in 2001 and now sits as a separate business unit and profit centre within the Copenhagen-based AP Moller-Maersk Group, has emerged as one of the leading global terminal operating companies in the world. In Hi 12, the company handled 17.6 million TEU, about 45% of which was non-group (Maersk, Safmarine, Seago, MCC Transport) business, posted revenues of USD2.A billion and a profit of USD395 million. These figures were up 8.6%. 8.1% and 30% on the corresponding period of 2011.
