Seaspan predicts flat newbuild prices

Seaspan chief executive Gerry Wang has refused to be drawn on whether his company is talking to China Shipping Container Lines about financing the 18,000 teu ships it is set to order, but has acknowledged that the two are in regular dialogue. His comments came during a conference call to discuss Seaspan's first-quarter results, and followed confirmation that CSCL planned to order five 18,000 teu ships in South Korea.
