FMC asks P3 for more information on alliance

The US Federal Maritime Commission has delayed the effective date of the proposed P3 Network by asking for additional information about the tie-up between Maersk Line, Mediterranean Shipping Co and CMA CGM. The Washington agency said the information it had requested will start a new 45-day regulatory review period, delaying the original effective date of December 8. The FMC said its information request would not be made available to the public and that it would provide an extra public comment period.
