Embion set to commercialize first prebiotic by early 2020

A recent injection of funding will help Swiss start-up Embion Technologies bring its first prebiotic to market at the beginning of 2020.Embion's prebiotic ingredients are designed to improve animal health and performance through the use of sustainablefood side-stream feedstocks. The company's technology extracts soluble prebiotic oligosaccharides from plant byproduct feedstocks for microbiome nutrition, through a catalytic platform. This process enables the selection of sugar or derivatives that arereleased as final products.
