Boehringer begins supplying China with vaccines from domestic plant

Boehringer Ingelheim's first wholly-owned manufacturing plant in China has begun supplying the local swine market with veterinary vaccines.The Taizhou plant is producing Ingelvac PRRS MLV vaccines for porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome. Production capacity will reach 125 million doses per year. The facility is in 'China Medical City-an area of 30 square kilometers dedicated to healthcare, scientific research, development and exhibitions. This marks a shift in Boehringer's strategy in China.
