According to the EIA, the national average retail price for regular gasoline was $3.593/gal on July 21, a 4.2￠/gal drop from the July 14 price, while RFG's national average was $3,741 /gal, a 5.2￠/gal decrease on the week. Houston, Texas' $3.355/gal was the lowest price for both regular gasoline and RFG, while San Francisco, California's $4.059/gal was the highest for both grades. Meanwhile, the national average diesel price slid 2.5￠/gal on the week to $3.869/gal, down for the third week in a row and settling at the lowest since Nov. 2013. CA had the highest-priced diesel, at $3.773/gal, while the PADD 3 (Gulf Coast) region had the lowest-priced diesel, at $3.773/gal.
