Details of the proposed swap include Rosneft receiving: refined products from Citgo as partial payment for the $1.5B loan it extended PDVSA last year; ownership stakes in three Venezuela oilfields—Lagunillas Lago, Rosa Mediano, and Tia Juana Lago; stakes in the Mejillones and Patao offshore natural gas fields that have combined reserves of 14 trillion cf (396B m~3); a settlement payment for late dividends that are due to Rosneft by PDVSA from their largest j.v., the extra-heavy oil project Petromonagas; rights to sell condensate from the Rio Caribe field; and rights to commercialize Rosneft's share of oil output from all j.v.s with PDVSA, allowing Rosneft to export its entire Venezuelan production.
