2022 APR 19 (NewsRx) - By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Mining & Minerals Daily Daily - Investigators discuss new findings in Mineralogy. According to news reporting originating from Frankfurt, Germany, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “We show, by single-crystal diffraction studies in laser-heated diamond-anvil cells, that Ca2CO4 orthocarbonate, which contains CO44- tetrahedra, can be formed already at similar to 20 GPa at similar to 1830 K, i.e., at much lower pressures than other carbonates with sp(3)-hybridized carbon.”
