AISC seeks fabricated structural steel trade case

NEW YORK — The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) has filed a petition with the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission (ITC) seeking anti-dumping and countervailing duties against fabricated carbon, alloy and stainless structural steel imports from China, Canada and Mexico. Among the products listed in the petition are beams, plate and hollow structural sections (HSS), as well as merchant bar shapes such angles and channels, according to documents filed with Commerce and the ITC by law firm Wiley Rein LLP on Monday February 4.
