Deportation looms for jailed man who paid proxy to sit a construction competence test

A man has been jailed for 18 months after he admitted eight offences, including paying another individual to sit the health and safety tests for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card and the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) card. The sentence is the latest to involve illicit attempts to secure construction competence ID cards, and follows prison terms of six and a half years and five and a half years imposed in January 2015 on two Albanian men for forgery offences that included 3,000 images for CSCS cards and a smaller number for CPCS cards.
