Breastfeeding and CMPA.

I was interested to see the clinical update on cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA) in the May issue of the journal.While reading the article, I was struck by the absence of any reference to the fact that for many babies this is an avoidable disorder. In clinical practice, I have come across many mothers who have reported scenarios where it is clear that if their breastfeeding had been better supported, they would not have introduced the infant formula that then caused their baby to develop CMPA.
