Australian mega retailer, Wesfarmers, has enjoyed aheavy increase in earnings in July-December, on theback of rising prices and strong production.Revenue from its coal operations were A$1.07bn($845m) in the half year, up 44% on the year fromA$742m ($586m).Its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation andamortization (EBITDA) were up 42% on the year toA$242m ($191m) from A$171m ($135m).
