Antidumping as an offensive weapon

In the recent years, augmentation of Ukrainian exports on global market was accompanied with toughened economic restrictions hampering its advancement in many countries worldwide. To clear up this situation, Ukrainian Market Review has interviewed Vladimir STETSENKO, Deputy State Secretary with the Ministry of Economy and European Integration of Ukraine. Hitherto, foreign countries introduced 53 antidumping, compensatory, and special measures against Ukrainian producers. In 13 cases introduced tariffs do not allow Ukraine to export its products to such countries. In my opinion, high tariffs set by foreign countries, primarily by the USA, the EU, and Russia, are rarely substantiated economically and lead to exclusion of Ukrainian-made commodities from foreign markets.
