PAPER, CARDBOARD, AND ARTICLES

摘要

According to preliminary information, more than 220 ths. tons of paper; cardboard, and articles were exported from Ukraine in 2002 exceeding the figures of the previous year by approximately 3 - 4 percent. Export of these articles constituted more than USD 225 mn in terms of value. Taking into consideration decrease of average price level in the period under review approximately by 5 percent, value indices curtailed by more than 1 percent. Average price level while exporting paper, cardboard, and articles from Ukraine in 2002 made about USD/MT 1,162 against USD/MT 1,216 in 2001. Upon preliminary estimations about 557 ths. tons of paper, cardboard, and articles were imported to Ukraine for the total amount reaching USD 595 mn. Average prices herewith constituted roughly USD/MT 1,067. To compare, corresponding figures of paper, cardboard, and articles import for 2001 exceeded 475 ths. tons for the total amount constituting more than USD 448 mn. Average price herewith made approximately USD/MT 943.
