ECI aids collaboration process

SMB, the joint venture between Skanska, MWH and Balfour Beatty, has moved on from its 23-month Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) deal with Thames Water having signed a five-year, ￡8ooM contract to deliver the utility's design and build solutions for AMP6 and beyond The joint venture is part of the Thames Water alliance, eight20 (see P25), and there is an option to extend the contract for a further five years to cover AMP7.
