Industry mourns passing of respected maritime writers

It is with great sadness that we record the passing in recent months of two eminent maritime journalists, both longtime contributors to Seatrade and trusted friends. Former Technical editor Doug Woodyard passed away at the end of 2014 following a period of protracted illness. A seagoing marine engineer who became a maritime journalist on coming ashore, Doug had edited Marine Week and the Motorship before going freelance.
