Optimising asset performance: from saving cost to added value

Typically, we tend to consider these performance elements in isolation, but ABS believes the industry has entered an era where theory, practical experience and technology allow us to take a more holistic approach to best manage the performance of valuable ship and offshore unit assets. The enablers of such an approach comprise data collection and analysis techniques, IT systems, sensor technologies, simulation methods and system diagnostics that address factors such as fuel efficiency, emissions control, hull performance and machineries condition.
