Global CFI has held largely steady for the third consecutive week. Only the BlSea CFI has inched down by $0.05/t this week, whilethe rates for small-tonnage shipments have remained almost unchanged in other regions. In the Azov Sea ports, the owners of sea-riverfleet are unable to raise the rates due to shortage of grain cargoes meant for shipments to Turkey. In addition, there is an extremelysluggish trade in the Baltic, North and Mediterranean Seas. The demand for small-tonnage fleet has dropped to the minimum in the FarEast. The situation is worsened by growing prices for gas oil and IFO.
