For a short while, I was somewhat delusional during my preparation for this address. I envisioned a passionate tour de force, both profound and visionary. Needless to say, I came to my senses mostly out of sheer necessity as I am neither a visionary nor a bona fide intellect. My message will be simple, perhaps reflecting some simple-mindedness on my part, and yet I hope that the message will serve as the template that AANA must pursue if we are to maintain our place as the educational titans that we have become. For most of you, much of what follows will gladly be forgotten by dinner time, but for some, what follows may resonate and reinforce service to a unique organization.
