The rates have definitively stopped growing in the Azov Sea after March 12. Moreover, many charterers are trying to lower the freightlevel as the ice campaign has been already cancelled. ISM sources expect the inflow of sea-river fleet along with improving navigationconditions to push the freight level down. The cargo flow has remained quite healthy (at least until now), while shipments of barleyhave even grown brisker amid the upcoming introduction of import duty in Turkey starting from April 1. The charterers now offer $32/t /$34/t / $37/t for transportation of 4,000 t of wheat from Rostov to TBS / the Marmara Sea / Izmir, while owners want to get a couple ofdollars more.
