Toyota Motor Corporation has announced the launch of a new operations management system to support the provision of mo - bility services that will enable pra ctical use of the E-Palette. E-Palette is a battery-electric - powered vehicle and developed by Toyota specifically for Autonomous Mobility-as-a-Service (Autono -MaaS). Together with a number of partners, the company also plans to operate the vehicles in the fully connected Woven City model metropolis. At the same time, it is aiming for commercial use in several areas and regions of Japan in the coming years. In this way, Toyota intends to realize just-in-time mobility services in the future that provide needed goods and services on demand and on time. The system is designed to shorten customers’ waiting times, reduce traffic jams, and provide safe and convenient transportation.
