The situation is getting increasingly uncertain on the Mediterranean Sea coaster market. Brokers report slow trade, as many charterersprefer to postpone shipments amid strict quarantine measures in ports. Steels and wheat exports from EU ports have slowed down; NorthAfrican and Israeli fertilizers are the only cargoes supporting owners. Thus, shipment of 11,000 t of fertilizers from Ashdod to Ravennawith 7,000c/2,000x l/d rates is estimated by brokers at mid-high $10s/t.
