摘要

We read with great interest the article "The Development and Validation of a Self-Administered Quality-of-Life Outcome Measure for Young, Active Patients With Symptomatic Hip Disease: The International Hip Outcome Tool (iHOT-33)" by Mohtadi et al. in the May 2012 issue oi Arthroscopy. We agree that valid patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures for younger patients with hip and groin pain are much needed. In 2011 we therefore published the Copenhagen Hip and Groin Outcome Score (HAGOS). Othei PRO measures used for- this patient group are the Hip Outcome Score (HOS) and the modified Harris Hip Score (MHHS). Unfortunately, the article by Mohtadi et al. leaves the reader with the impression that, when comparing studies on existing outcome measures for patients with hip disease the iHOT is the superior measure. However, this is noi supported by the data presented.
