How often do you get the opportunity to spend 2 weeks and change your life, both professionally and personally? Once in a lifetime. From observing and discussing ACLs with Dr. Fu and UCLs with Dr. Andrews to huge dinner parties and playoff sporting events, the 2012 AANA Traveling Fellowship was an experience we will never forget. On Sunday, the first day of our trip, we met our traveling crew: our "Godfather," Dr. Walter Shelton from Mississippi Sports Medicine, Dr. Martin Leland from the University of Chicago, Dr. Amy Ross from Fort Jackson Army Base, Dr. Robert Gallo from Penn State Hershey, and Dr. Chris Lehman from Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. Our first stop was the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a mecca for orthopaedic research and athletic training facilities.
