Teijin to Produce Prosthetic Joints in Thailand

Teijin Ltd. (TYO:3401) is looking to expand its presence overseas by launching Thai production for prosthetic joints and other implanted medical devices. Plans here are to have Teijin Nakashima Medical Co. Ltd., a 50–50 joint venture between Teijin and Nakashima Holdings Co. Ltd., team up with both corporate and governmental partners in the country in an effort to produce artificial knees and other such prosthetic joints.
