Ai-Carbon Develops Method for Easy Recycling of Carbon Fiber at Normal Temperature

Venture company Ai-Carbon Co. Ltd. has developed technology for isolating and retrieving carbon fiber from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) via a proprietary acid–alkali method carried out at normal temperature. Envisioning that this could be put to use for injection molding, milled carbon fiber powder, nonwovens and so on, the company is pursuing further development in conjunction with customers.
