摘要

Indonesia is dealing with an increasing shortage of medical oxygen as the country faces a surge in cases of the COVID-19 Delta variant. Estimates from the World Health Organization are that Indonesia recorded around 350,000 new cases of COVID-19 over the week starting June 12. And with the hospitalization rate too on the rise, some believe that the country is currently seeing the virus spread more than anywhere else in the world. The result of this is that Indonesia is falling into a shortage of medical oxygen. And this is especially true in the island of Java, home to the national capital of Jakarta.
