Denka to Boost Spherical Silica Output in Singapore

Denka Co. Ltd. (TYO:4061) is adding spherical silica production facilities at a plant in Tuas, Singapore, operated by consolidated subsidiary Denka Advantech Pte. Ltd. (DAPL). Construction is scheduled to finish in 2024. Once the new equipment comes online, groupwide production capacity will rise by around 30 percent. Denka currently accounts for about 30 percent of global spherical silica production. The added output will provide stable supplies over the medium to long term, while leading to further growth in the environmental and energy sectors.
