Nippon Shokubai Co. Ltd. (TYO:4114) recently formulated a new, three-year medium-term management plan that will serve as the first phase of the company’s long-term vision. Running from fiscal 2022 through fiscal 2024, the plan will see the foundations laid for this long-term corporate vision through the implementation of a variety of measures, with a particular focus on achieving business transformation, strategic transformation for environmental initiatives and organizational transformation. As for financial aims, Nippon Shokubai is looking to post a record-high 395 billion yen (ff3.03 billion) in sales revenue and 33 billion yen in operating profit by fiscal 2024. Positioning its Solutions Business segment as the driver of earnings growth here, Nippon Shokubai aims by the end of the new medium-term management plan to double the segment’s operating profit from that achieved for fiscal 2021, targeting here a mark of 17 billion yen.
