Charging ahead

I'll be honest and say that before researching this month's cover story I knew very little about electric vehicles (EVs). Only that most Kiwis don't know much about them either. It appears to me that the whole world, driven by the oil companies, is still hell-bent on extracting every last drop of fossil fuel from this planet, and that when it comes down to the adoption of EVs by countries very often it rests on certain individuals to champion the cause; individuals who are not prepared to wait any longer while the politicians and multinationals continue to dither over making tough decisions.
