Dear Editor, The prostatic utricle is an outpouching arising from the posterior urethra. Incomplete regression of the Mullerian ducts is thought to be the etiology. The urogenital sinus (UGS) inadequately stimulated by androgens is another proposed mechanism [1]. The diagnosis can be made using ultrasonography, micturating cystourethrogram (MCUG). The indications to operate vary and may include recurrent infections, urinary incontinence or stone formation within the utricle [2]. Laparoscopic excision is the standard treatment described in literature [3]. We describe a "Rendezvous" procedure where the combined use of laparoscopy and cystoscopy is utilized. Cystoscopy is used throughout the procedure to produce counter-traction and aid deep pelvic dissection.
