US EPA schedules new ai approval decisions

The US EPA’s Oice of Pesticide Programs (OPP) has scheduled registration decisions for six more new active ingredients for fiscal 2022 (ended September 30th). They include Corteva Agriscience’s new neopicolinamide fungicide, florylpicoxamid (trade-marked as Adavelt), which the company is also aiming at the Asia Pacific region. Another addition is Syngenta’s insecticide, spiropidion, for use on a range of crops. The company has agreed a deal for US agrochemical company Gowan (Yuma, Arizona) to sell the product in the US and Canada. Spiropidion gained its first global approval in Guatemala in 2019.
