Bayer settles royalty dispute over GM cotton with Nuziveedu

Bayer has reached a settlement for its Indian joint venture Mahyco-Monsanto Biotech’s (MMB) long-running intellectual property dispute with Indian seed supplier Nuziveedu Seeds (Hyderabad) over genetically modified cotton. “Mahyco Monsanto Biotech (India) Pvt. Ltd. (MMB) and associated group companies have reached an amicable settlement with Nuziveedu Group to resolve outstanding issues and differences,” a Bayer spokesperson told Crop Science Market. “We look forward to continue working collaboratively with all stakeholders for the benefit of Indian agriculture.”
