Andritz supplies technology for Klabin's Ortigueria mill

Brazil's paper and board manufacturer Klabin has entrusted the Austrian technology group Andritz with the supply of key production equipment for the new pulp mill in Ortigueira in the Federal State of Parana. The start-up is scheduled for the first quarter of 2016. Andritz says comparable orders are worth almost ?300m. According to Andritz, the pulp and paper business area will supply the wood yard, the entire fibre line for hard and softwood fibres, and the white liquor plant. The pulp mill's annual production capacity is put at 1.5 million t, comprising 1.1 million t of hardwood pulp and 400,0001 of softwood pulp.
