Cosme Jacinto Nyusi, President Filipe Nyusi's little-known brother, is quietly expanding his mininginvestments in the rich subsoil of northern Mozambique. Dinema Minerais was officially created on 28 March. Thecompany is 80 percent owned by Cosme Jacinto Nyusi and is based in the city of Nampula, the capital of theprovince of the same name. Nampula is rich in gold,precious and semi-precious stones, and tantalum, all ofwhich can be easily mined artisanally with minimalinvestment.
