Granular urea sales were reported in the mid-$280s/t cfr for August, traders selling from foating cargoes. Fresh ofers are above $290/t cfr, with some traders ofering for September at $295/t cfr. Buyers are rejecting ofers at this level, though and have largely stayed out of the market this week. A weaker cur- rency has added to the increase in urea prices, with some buyers now facing an uplift of $30-40/t since they last purchased.
