It's the day before Halloween in Great Falls, Mont. The employees of Kranz Flowers report for work--decked out looking like a group of dancers from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video--and pile into a vintage Cadillac hearse for little spin. During the day they'll visit various stores all over town, hand out candy to children, assist with a weather broadcast at a local television station, and in general, create a stir wherever they go. While it isn't a typical workday, all this mayhem is strictly onthe clock. It's all part of a Great Falls Halloween tradition that was started eight years ago by Bose and Doug Forbes soon after they purchased Kranz Flowers. "It was kind of silly when I look back on it," remembers Bose. "It was right after our firstMother's Day. Doug and I were both a little overwhelmed with running the business.
