Future demands

What's happening at your local wholesaler? Floral wholesalers and retailers have long faced many of the same basic business dilemmas. How to keep track of your customers' changing needs? How to expand your service menu to meet those needs--while at the same time tightening control over basic costs and inventory movement? Those questions--and some answers--came to the fore at the annual convention of the Wholesale Florist and Florist Supplier Association this spring in St. Petersburg, Florida. The proceedings suggested that for leading wholesale as for retail florists, technology is providing a big assist. Marketing is another key to remaining competitive. The event kicked off a marketing campaign sponsored by WF&FSA on behalf of its members, whichthe association hopes will strengthen retailer-wholesaler relationships.
