TPG PROFITS UP, DIVIDENDS CUT TO RETAIN CASH FOR MOBILE

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation were $890.8 million. The company's share price rose even though it cut dividends, saying it was doing so to retain money to build its mobile network. Earnings per share were up 6% to 47.9 cents per share.
