Competition, consolidation and growing cooperation across ARA ports range

The ARA range is at the head of Europe's massive canal network which, with the help of the Rhine and Meuse rivers, extends the port's reach deep into central Europe. However, location is not everything. Each port constantly endeavours to enhance its competitive position by developing its ability to handle high volumes, investing in internal infrastructure, leveraging enhancements to transhipment and barging facilities and by building closer links with customers and partner ports.
