Kumba maintains 2019 production guidance at previous year’s level

Despite numerous logistic challenges, South Africa’s Kumba Iron Ore (Kumba) managed to meet full-year guidancein 2018. The company planы to maintain 2019 production targets at the same level.Kumba decreased iron ore output by 4% to 43.1 million t year-on-year in 2018 but stayed in line with full-year guidanceat 43?44 million t. The decline was mainly attributed to Sishen mine production slumping by 6% to 29.2 million t, whilethe operating performance of Kolomela mine remained flat at 13.9 million t, according to the official statement.
