Aggregate coal output at Anglo American's mines totalled 51.4 million t in 2020 against 59.3 million t in the previous year. In Q4, the company produced 8.1 million t of thermal coal (down 14% year-on-year) and 4.2 million t of coking coal (down 33%). Sales of thermal coal dropped by 19% to 10.1 million t, while those of coking coal plummeted by 29% to 4.3 million t.
