Spanish wire rod prices continue to rise on extremely tight supply

Prices for wire rod in Spain continue to go up from both local producers and exporters, driven by scarce availability of the product in the market and the ongoing rally in international raw materials. It is expected that the situation will be unchanged till the year’s end. Spanish wire rod producers are fully booked not only till the end of this year, but also for early 2021. Market participants say that there is no longer an opportunity to purchase wire rod even for January.
