Under a notice issued by the DOL’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD), the applicable minimum wage rate for workers performing work on or in connection with federal contracts covered by Executive Order 13658 (Establishing a Minimum Wage for Contractors) will increase to $10.80 per hour. The minimum tipped wage under those contracts will increase to $7.55 per hour. The new rates will be effective January 1, 2020, according to a notice to be published in the Federal Register September 19.
