Stepping back and getting a 20,000-foot view of library and information science fun-damentals and practice can promote fresh ideas and renewed energy as we continue to develop as professionals. Information: A Historical Companion and Understanding Human Information Behavior: When, How, and Why People Interact With Information take us on deep dives into information and knowledge from both historical and personal perspectives. I then consider two newer information technologies being developed in many libraries. 32 Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality Programs for Libraries offers practical, step-by-step guidance, while Wikipedia and Academic Libraries: A Global Project illustrates the possibilities of freely available information platforms for educational project development. These titles explore the foundations of people's relationship with information and how those interactions are moving into exciting new areas.
