Adopting laser scanning technology

Scotland TranServ plan, design and implement improvements to the network, including structural maintenance: bridge refurbishments and new drainage systems. Detailed surveys are required to show the existing topography and environment at each location. These topographic surveys are traditionally carried out by surveyors on foot and for safety reasons often within traffic management restrictions, which can result in delays to the travelling public.
