FABTECH's return is a step in the right direction

"Farewell, FABTECH 2020. We will miss you." That was the opening to last year's Under the Hood column, where we officially announced that FABTECH was canceled. It was just another blow to our industry and to our hope for a return to normal. It also served as a reminder that in the end, some things are simply out of our control. While the pandemic isn't quite over with yet, certainly it's fair to say that it is taking its last, labored gasps-we hope, anyway. And in our industry, there's no better proof of that than the return of FABTECH.
