2021 SEP 21 (NewsRx) - By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Disease Prevention Daily - New research on sepsis is the subject of a new report. According to news reporting out of Chongqing, People's Republic of China, by NewsRx editors, research stated, "PurposeCXC chemokines are mediators which mediate immune cells migration to sites of inflammation and injury. Chemokine C-X-C motif ligand 16 (CXCL16) plays an important role in the occurrence and development of sepsis through leukocyte chemotaxis, leukocyte adhesion and endotoxin clearance." Financial supporters for this research include Foundation for Innovative Research Groups of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. MethodsA total of 1,620 major trauma patients were enrolled in this study.
