Slip Effects on Magneto Hydro Dynamic Stagnation Point Flow of Carreau-Nanofluid Over a Linear Sheet

摘要

The present study deals with the Carreau viscosity model which is a generalized Newtonian model. Using above formulation for the boundary layer a formulation for the boundary layer equations of the Carreau fluid obtained. At low shear rate carreau fluids behave as Newtonian fluid n = 1 and at high shear rate it behave as power law fluid. Mainly the slip effects are considered on velocity, temperature and concentration for the flow of MHD stagnation point of Carreau nanofluid over a linear sheet. The modelled boundary layer conservation equations are converted to non-linear coupled ordinary differential equations by a suitable transformation technique. Numerical solutions of the resulting equations are obtained by using implicit finite difference scheme known as Keller box method. The effect of non dimensional parameters magnetic parameter M, power law index n, Weissenberg number We, suction parameter S, velocity ratio parameter A, velocity slip parameter α, temperature slip parameter β, concentration slip parameter γ, Brownian motion parameter Nb, thermoporesis parameter Nt, prandtl number Pr, Lewis number Le on velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are elucidated through tables and graphs.
